What's included in ICBC Optional Coverage Collision: covers damage to your own vehicle as a result of impact with another vehicle, person or object. Comprehensive: covers damage to your vehicle caused by something other than collision, such as fire, theft, glass or vandalism. Excess Third-Party Liability: covers you when you are deemed responsible for injury to a third party or damage to their property. Various limits of liability are available. BCAA recommends vehicle owners purchase a minimum of $3 million in coverage. Specified Perils: similar to Comprehensive and less expensive, but provides coverage only for specific perils. Excess Underinsured Motorist Protection: purchase an additional $1 million Underinsured Motorist Protection for a total of $2 million.
