Bell Mobility

Bell has undergone internal business changes over the last year and as a result, effective August 9, 2009, they will no longer offer the Bell Mobility BCAA Exclusive Member Plan on new Bell Mobility contracts. This notice is to inform you of the expiration of the BCAA and Bell partnership.

For Members who currently have a Bell Mobility plan, Bell Mobility will continue to honour all contracts in place between BCAA Members and Bell Mobility for their duration. The conditions of Member contracts will remain in force until either (1) a Member contacts Bell directly to modify their contract or (2) until the expiry date of the current mobility contract between the Member and Bell Mobility.

Bell/ BCAA, Show Your Card & Save® Agreement Ending FAQ

Q. When is the Bell agreement officially ending?

A. August 9, 2009

Q. I am a BCAA member and have a Bell contract for my cellular service. How does this change affect my cell service or contract?

A. Your Bell contract remains in effect after the end date of Bell’s partnership with BCAA and will not be affected in any way. BCAA members who purchased BCAA-exclusive Bell cellular plans for the two- or three-year agreements in order to qualify for a $50 annual Bell bill credit will continue to receive this benefit after the BCAA offer ends.

Q. Is BCAA planning to seek out another provider to add to the Show Your Card & Save partner mix?

A. We will be discussing opportunities with other providers and we will announce any new partnership and member offer once a new agreement has been reached.

Q. I was considering moving my cell service from another provider to Bell under the BCAA agreement. Is there any reason to still consider this?

A. The current offer is available until the agreement between BCAA and Bell expires on August 9, 2009. For any questions or concerns about this change, please call Bell at 1-800-667-0123.

Q. I signed a contract with Bell Mobility to secure my current price plan. Will I be forced to change it now that the Bell/BCAA agreement is no longer in place?

A. No. You will not be forced to change your price plan, as you are price protected under the terms and conditions of your existing contract. Upon expiration of that contract, you may be asked to change your price plan if your current plan is no longer offered.

Q. My contract has expired and my Bell agreement is currently month by month. After August 9, 2009, Will I be forced to change it now that the Bell/BCAA agreement is no longer in place?

A. The BCAA exclusive-price plan will not be available for renewal, so therefore you will be asked to change your price plan in order to renew your contract or take advantage of any hardware upgrade offers.

Q. I signed up under the Bell BCAA-exclusive price plan, but I think I’d like to change my price plan. Can I switch back to my current plan later on?

A. The availability of existing Bell price plans is subject to change without notice. If you choose to change your price plan now, your existing plan may no longer be available to you at a later date. The BCAA-exclusive price plans will no longer be available after August 9, 2009.

Q. Under the terms of the Bell/BCAA agreement, I am entitled to receive a $50 annual bill credit for each year of my 2 or 3 year term. Will I still receive this credit?

A. Yes, you are still entitled to the $50 annual bill credit as per the terms if your signed agreement.

Q. When will I see my $50 bill credit(s)?

A. The $50 annual bill credits will be applied at your anniversary time.

Q. Do I have the option to renew my term under the Bell/BCAA plan?

A. No. The agreement between Bell and BCAA has been terminated, therefore renewal is not available.

Q. I am thinking of getting a new cell phone plan. Until what date can I still get the BCAA bell plan?

A. The BCAA-exclusive price plan will be available for new activations until August 9, 2009, end of day.

Q. Who do I contact regarding the current status of my contract, price plan or $50 annual bill credit?

A. All inquiries regarding your existing contract, price plan or $50 annual bill credit can be addressed through Bell’s Client Care centre by calling 1-800-667-0123, Monday to Friday 8:00 to 21:00 and Saturdays 9:00 – 18:00.
