Basic Membership Road Assist Benefits
Basic Road Assist benefits:
- Up to four Road Assist calls per membership year. Any benefit or service and associated costs beyond the service call maximum will be the member's responsibility.
- Towing to the nearest garage or any destination within 5 km of the point of breakdown.
- Service to members who are occupants of the vehicle at the time of the breakdown.
- Service to all properly licensed four-wheeled passenger, pleasure or recreational vehicles. Dual-wheeled campers and motor homes (two wheels on the front and four on the back) are eligible for all services except towing, extrication and tire service.
- Dual wheeled pickup trucks (two wheels on the front and four on the back) not carrying a load are eligible for every service except tire service.
- Minor adjustments that allow your vehicle to operate under its own power.
- Assistance to members involved in a motor vehicle accident.
- Battery boost to allow your vehicle to be driven to the nearest repair facility.
- Installation of a spare tire or, if spare is not available, towing in accordance with provisions.
- Opening doors of your vehicle when keys are locked inside.
- Fuel will be delivered to your vehicle, allowing member to reach the nearest fuel station. The cost of the fuel is the member's responsibility.
- If your ignition key is lost or broken, BCAA will reimbursement you for locksmith service up to $50. If necessary, towing will be provided.
- Extrication or winching your vehicle from a public roadway. If special equipment - more than one truck or more than one person is needed, charges will apply. If vehicle is inoperable after extrication, standard towing benefits will apply.
