He was previously President \u0026amp; Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Blue Cross Blue Shield, British Columbia\u0026rsquo;s largest regulated insurer, and President \u0026amp; Chief Executive Officer of British Columbia Life \u0026amp; Casualty Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Blue Cross. Jan retired from full time corporate life at the end of 2017. He has over thirty years of experience in financial services, insurance, pensions, and advisory services to health care, utilities, manufacturing and telecommunications. Grude is also former President \u0026amp; Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare Benefit Trust, the largest self-insured health trust in Canada, President \u0026amp; Chief Executive Officer of Mellon Financial Services Corporation (Canada), a subsidiary of Bank of New York Mellon, and former President \u0026amp; Chief Executive officer of The Buck Company based in New York City, one of the largest global pension, investment and group insurance firms, now owned by Xerox Corporation. A former Partner of Ernst \u0026amp; Young, he has advised on large scale infrastructure, restructuring and privatization initiatives in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMr. Grude holds the ICD.D designation and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
