He is the past President and Chief Executive Officer of Island Savings, a $2.8B retail and commercial banking, insurance, and wealth management business.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePrior to joining Island Savings, Rod was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the British Columbia Automobile Association where he spent six years in that role.  Before joining BCAA, Rod spent 30 years in the aviation industry, with senior responsibilities managing domestic and international contact centers, corporate real estate and capital projects, provincial regional offices, and finally as Vice President for North American airports which included 22 airports and 4,000 employees.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRod\u0026rsquo;s current Board responsibilities include Chair Consumer Protection BC, Audit Committee BlueShore Financial, Director E-Comm 911, Director Alitis Financial Council, and Director Openmined.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePast Board roles have included, Chair Nicola Wealth Management, Chair Audit Committee BC Life \u0026amp; Casualty, Chair Planning \u0026amp; Development Committee Victoria Airport Authority , Chair BC Ferry Authority, Chair Credential Financial Inc., NEI Investments, Chair Canadian Professional Sales Association, and Calm Air International. He also served on the Calgary International Airport Executive Advisory Board, the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, and the Advisory Council of the Royal Roads University School of Leadership.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis community work includes Chair Victoria Hospitals Foundation, Fundraising Chair Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba, and Chair of a PGA golf tournament.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRod is Chair of the People \u0026amp; Culture and a member of the Governance Committee.
