Public and private incentive programs help make it easier to afford an electric vehicle (EV).
Electric Vehicle Rebates in British Columbia
With BC’s Go Electric program when you lease or buy you can apply for a rebate amount up to $4,000 for over 60 types of EVs including SUVs and trucks, each with diverse ranges and prices. There are also rebates available for plug-in hybrids, as well as the installation of a charging station in your home. Click here to learn more.
Insurance Savings
Some car insurance providers offer discounts for electric vehicles, making it even more affordable to own one. For example, BCAA Optional Car Insurance provides 5% in savings through its Eco-Friendly Vehicle Discount. Learn more at bcaa.com/optionalcar.

Other incentives in Canada
Federal government incentives
The Government of Canada offers point-of-sale incentives of up to $5,000 for consumers who buy or lease an EV. Search the Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) to learn more and see if the vehicle you are interested in is eligible for a rebate.
