HOW TO WIN:
The Contest Administrator will be responsible for administering the assigned Prizes for this Contest. A random draw for the Prizes will be held on or about October 15, 2018. The random draw for the Grand Prize will select one (1) entry from all eligible entries received in accordance with the “How To Enter” section of these rules to choose one (1) selected entrant. The random draw for the Secondary Prizes will select one (1) entry from all eligible entries living within each of BCAA’s twenty nine (29) Service Location trade areas (as defined by BCAA) and one (1) entry from all eligible entries living outside of the twenty nine (29) BCAA Service Location trade areas (as defined by BCAA) received in accordance with the “How To Enter” section of these rules to choose a total of thirty (30) selected entrants.
The selected entrant for the Grand Prize will be excluded from the Secondary Prize draws and will not be eligible to win a Secondary Prize.
Chances of winning a Secondary or Grand Prize will be dependent upon the number of eligible entries received by BCAA before the Contest Close Date described in the “How To Enter” section of these rules.
The Contest Administrator will contact each selected entrant by telephone at the phone number provided at time of entry and/or email if provided. If the Contest Administrator makes three (3) unsuccessful attempts within a 72 hour period to contact the selected entrant(s), the Contest Administrator, despite its customary diligent efforts, reserves the right to disqualify that selected entrant(s) for the corresponding prize.
Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant’s eligibility must have been verified by BCAA and each selected entrant must:
- Correctly answer a time limited mathematical skill-testing question. Failure to correctly answer that skill-testing question will mean that the selected entrant will be disqualified, and
- Sign a winner’s Affidavit and Liability/Publicity Release form, agreeing to the use of his/her name, address (city only), photograph, voice and/or statements without compensation other than the prize offered, within 10 days of the date it is sent by BCAA to the selected entrant. Failure to sign these forms will result in the selected entrant being disqualified.
Non-compliance with the foregoing or with any of these Contest Rules will, at BCAA’s discretion, result in disqualification of the selected entrant and, at BCAA’s sole option, an alternate entrant being selected by another draw. BCAA is not required to inquire into whether the information provided by an entrant(s) on their entry is correct. At its discretion, BCAA may waive the requirement for any entrant to provide any or all of the requested personal information, and may declare any such entry or an entry containing incorrect information to be an eligible entry. If for any reason, any prize is not awarded within three (3) months of the draw date, at its discretion, BCAA may decide not to award the prize(s). Except for the selected entrant(s), no other entrants will be notified about the results of the Contest.
BCAA and the Contest Administrator (collective, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible or liable for: any incorrect or inaccurate information; technical failures; unauthorized human intervention in the entry process; typographical, printing, mechanical, human or other errors or malfunctions; any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt, use or misuse of any prize; or lost, incomplete, late, misdirected, undelivered, stolen, or mutilated entries. Each entrant releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, actions, damages, demands, and liabilities of whatever nature or kind arising out of or in connection with the entrant’s: participation or attempted participation in the Contest, compliance or non-compliance with these Contest Rules, and acceptance, use or misuse of the prizes.
By entering the Contest, all entrants agree to be bound by the rules of the Contest. All decisions of the Contest Administrator with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final. All legal residents of British Columbia are eligible to win, providing they are over the age of majority on June 1, 2018, have conformed with the Contest rules and providing that they are not Excluded Participants. This Contest shall be subject to and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
At its sole discretion, BCAA reserves the right to modify these Contest Rules and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest without notice.
