Vehicle problems, snowfall and small infant
Tagged with: Membership
It was just after Christmas 2007. I had driven my stepson to Vancouver from Chilliwack. When we arrived near Metrotown, my vehicle jerked and the lights were going off and on and the snow had started falling. In a nutshell, I dropped my stepson off and was turning around to find a garage when it died. By this time, the snow was coming down like a sheet and I had a 4-month old in the backseat. I immediately phoned BCAA. With the storm, I thought it would be some time until a tow arrived and prepared for the long wait. I was told that it was very busy with the snowfall, but because I had a small infant, they would be there shortly. I would have been fine alone, but it was such a relief when a great driver (sorry can’t remember his name) showed up and said I could have it taken home. We snapped my child in the seat and she never even woke up. I have to say I had a great chat with this fine young man. The fact that I had the coverage to get myself, my child and my vehicle back to Chilliwack was amazing. The membership paid for itself right then. Anyone with small children needs this coverage. Thanks to BCAA.
