Seasonal Policy Updates

Applicable to Seasonal Home, Seasonal Condo and Seasonal Mobile Home

Coverage Changes

Bylaws Coverage

Provides coverage for older homes which must be rebuilt to current by-law standards in the event of a loss.

Earthquake Coverage - Building Only

Provides protection for damage and loss resulting from an earthquake.

Earthquake Coverage - Personal Property

Provides protection for damage and loss resulting from an earthquake.

Coverage F - Voluntary Payment for Medical Expenses and Coverage G - Voluntary Payment for Property Damage

Coverage F and Coverage G, allow a policyholder to provide coverage for a third party for eligible medical or property damage losses.

Seasonal Theft and Vandalism Coverage

Seasonal Theft Coverage provides theft protection for seasonal policyholders. Seasonal Vandalism Coverage provides vandalism protection for seasonal policyholders.

Mobile Home Comprehensive

A Mobile Home policy provides protection for owners of Mobile/Manufactured Homes.

Strata Coverage (applicable to Seasonal Condos)

Strata Liability Coverage

Provides higher Strata Liability limits for customers who require extra coverage.

Strata Protection Coverage

Protection provided to offset costs assessed to you by your strata corporation for strata deductible payments, or cost of repairs to the strata building and common assets or liability assessments. Can also provide coverage to protect improvements you or previous owners may have made to your unit.

Deductible Changes

Policy Deductible Changes

The Policy Deductible is the amount which must be paid in the event of a claim, before insurance coverage is provided. Choosing a higher Policy Deductible decreases your premium.

Flexible Water Deductible

Provides the ability to increase or decrease a policy's Water Deductible for eligible water claims. Choosing a higher deductible results in a reduction in premium.

Personal Property Changes

Property with Special Limits

Certain items of personal property have special limits on how much you can claim.

Sporting Equipment - Increased Limits

Provided higher coverage limits for customers who required increased limits specifically for golf equipment and carts.

Garden Tractors - Increased Limits

Provided higher coverage limits for for customers who required increased limits specifically for garden tractors which met eligibility criteria.

Coverage C - Personal Property

Personal property protection provides coverage in the event of accidental damage for contents, such as appliances and furniture you have provided for the rental property.
