BCAA Fireweed Pin
Wear the wildflower that defends against wildfires
Fireweed is often the first plant to bloom after a wildfire — an enduring symbol of renewal, strength, and hope. It reflects the resilience of nature and the spirit we share as British Columbians.
Inspired by this powerful symbol, the BCAA Fireweed Pin represents a shared commitment to wildfire resilience. By wearing the pin, you show your support for communities across BC and the organizations working alongside them to strengthen their resilience in the face of wildfires.
Get your pin at BCAA locations across BC, online or at one of the participating partners below. Pins are available for a donation of $5, while quantities last.

With its distinctive magenta flowers clustered at the top of its stem, it is known for its ability to quickly grow and spread after a disturbance such as wildfires. While considered a weed, it is a source of food for various wildlife and has cultural significance for Indigenous communities, who harvest the flowers for numerous uses including food, textiles and medicine.
