BCAA volunteers make dream play spaces a reality for Play Here contest winners

Over a 3 week period, BCAA volunteers from all across the organization headed to Quesnel, Kamloops and Galiano Island to help make new dream play spaces a reality for the children and families in each of these communities.

Through its community investment initiative,  BCAA Play Here, the winning finalists Bouchie Lake Elementary School, Marion Schilling Elementary School, and Galiano Island Community School each got a $100,000 play space revitalization after garnering the most votes from British Columbians.  To truly bring community spirit to life, BCAA and community volunteers came together to help build the playgrounds – a unique and integral part of this initiative.

BCAA team members and community volunteers worked tirelessly to put pieces of playground equipment together and helped transform the school grounds, with the finishing touches completed by local volunteers. The result: better places to play and learn for kids and their families.

When individuals who are passionate about improving their communities come together, great things can happen!
