Community spirit is part of our DNA here at BCAA. Across BC, our BCAA Service Locations and Auto Service Centres are excited to celebrate Pride Season. Here's when and where you can enjoy your local Pride events happening throughout the summer. 


Lower Mainland

Burnaby Pride Street Party

When: July 22, 2023, 12 pm - 6 pm
Where: Burnaby Civic Square, 6100 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby, BC V5H 4N5
A full afternoon of live performances, food, activities and community resources.

Fraser Valley Pride Celebration

When: July 29, 2023, 12 pm - 8 pm
Where: Fraser River Heritage Park, 7494 Mary Street, Mission
What to expect: Celebrate Pride in the park! Enjoy family fun including vendor booths, live entertainment and more.

New West Pride Week

When: August 10-19, 2023
Where: Along Columbia Street, New Westminster
What to expect: Fun activities, entertainers, community events and food trucks. Cap off a week of fun and excitement with the Columbia Street Festival on the afternoon of Saturday, August 19.

Pride at the Pier

When: July 29, 2023
Where: 115 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver
What to expect: Hosted by Vancouver Pride Society, this is an alcohol-free and family-friendly event. Dance on the pier to local queer DJs, take in magnificent drag performances, lounge at nearby restaurants or hit up one of the event’s craft and activity stations.

Surrey Pride Party in the Plaza

When: May 27 - June 24, 2023
Where: Civic Plaza, 13450 104 Ave, Surrey
What to expect: There’s something for everyone with vendor booths, performers, live music, spoken word, Rainbow Flame storytelling and a kids zone.

Vancouver Pride Parade

When: August 6, 2023
Where: Sunset Beach, Downtown Vancouver, and Concord Community Park
What to expect: Enjoy music, a festive atmosphere and crazy costumes. Highlights include the Vancouver Pride Parade and Pride Festival at Concord Community Park. Save the date on Sunday, August 6 for the Vancouver Pride Parade where BCAA and Evo Car Share will ‘float’ along the new Pride Parade route from Sunset Beach to the new festival site at Concord Community Park.

White Rock Pride

When: Events from July 21-29, 2023
Where: White Rock Pride Family Day is at Miramar Plaza, 15165 Thrift Ave, White Rock on July 22 from 11 am - 4 pm. Check the website for other locations.
What to expect: Free fun events for the whole family including live entertainment, food trucks, kids zone, the Pride Ride, Gala/Fundraiser and Mingler events.

Vancouver Island

Alberni Valley Pride Week

When: May 29 - June 4, 2023
Where: Gyro Recreation Park, 3245 7th Ave, Port Alberni
What to expect: All-ages free event. Enjoy delicious food, fun entertainment and cool vendors, plus the Alberni Valley Pride Dance Party (19+ years) in The Rainbow Room on Saturday June 3. Facebook


Victoria Pride Festival and Parade

When: June 29 - July 9, 2023
Where:

  • Victoria Pride Festival (June 29 - July 9)all around Victoria. A carnival bursting with colour and celebration (see full events here)
  • Victoria Pride Parade (11 am start on July 9) in Downtown Victoria, beginning at Douglas and Fisgard. This large march, featuring 140 entries and 40,000+ spectators, will envelope the downtown Inner Harbour.
  • Pride Festival in the Park (afternoon July 9). After the Parade, join thousands for a multifaceted queer-themed festival. A family-friendly festive atmosphere with over 150 vendors, 20+ food options, cold beverages, a kids zone and a main stage, all in MacDonald Park.

What to expect: Events include the youth Pride kick-off, a memorial drag ball game, the Big Gay Dog Walk, and Pride in the Word.

Kamloops Pride Week

When: August 21 – 27, 2023
Where: Downtown parks, streets and venues
What to expect: Fun, colour and dancing! Enjoy the 4th Annual Downtown Kamloops Pride Parade and check out FruitCake: Pride at 7 pm at The Night Shift on August 26.

Kelowna Pride Week and Festival

When: June 2 - 11, 2023
Where: A variety of Kelowna venues
What to expect: Kelowna hosts the largest Pride Festival in the BC Interior, with over 12,000 people proud to celebrate love, diversity and inclusivity. Events include the bike march and social, Kelowna Trans March and social, Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar All Stars, FruitCake: Pride Party, the Kelowna Pride March and Festival on Saturday June 10 in Kelowna City Park.

Kootenay PRIDE

When: August 28 - September 4, 2023
Where: All around the streets of Nelson: museums, parks, coffee shops, and plazas.
What to expect: It will be a fun and brightly coloured day as the community comes together to celebrate. Kootenay Pride welcomes everyone to walk in the parade.

South Okanagan Similkameen PRIDE

When: May 26 - September 23, 2023
Where: Penticton and Osoyoos
What to expect: A variety of imaginative events, including the Pride Talent Show on May 26, a floatie party on the Penticton River Channel and the Pride Arts Festival in Osoyoos on September 23.

Northern BC

Prince George Pride

When: June 3, 2023
Where: Downtown Prince George and the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre
What to expect: Welcome to the 2023 Pride Parade, a Pride vendor event and drag burlesque night. The parade starts at 10 am. Sign up your pooch for the puppy promenade to compete for Top Dog. Have lunch at the food trucks, shop the vendor tables, then at 7 pm the curtain goes up on the drag queens’ show Foxies Follies, with dance music from DJ Riki Rocket.
