Looking to support or need help during wildfire season?
When wildfires disrupt communities, having somewhere to turn can make a real difference.
If you have been affected by wildfires, or want to help someone who has, BCAA Connect is an online space where people in BC can come together, share advice, and support one another when it matters most.
When wildfires impact your community
Following a wildfire evacuation alert or order, many people need help with things like temporary accommodation, pet or animal care, vehicle support, or accessing basic supplies, often during an uncertain and stressful time.
Connecting with others facing similar challenges can make a difficult situation feel more manageable and help remind people they’re not facing it alone.
How can you find help or offer support?
BCAA Connect's Wildfire Support Groups offer a way to reach out to your local community in a safe, moderated space where verified community members can:
- Connect with others experiencing similar challenges
- Ask for or offer help
- Share real‑time updates and local resources
- Ask questions and find relevant information
If you’re able to support those affected by wildfires, joining your regional Wildfire Support Group is a way to connect locally and offer help where it’s most needed.
