The summer of soccer is here... Game on Vancouver!

Summer in the Lower Mainland always brings good energy. Longer days. Packed patios. Friends finding any excuse to get together. This year, that energy is dialed up a notch as football fans from across the world tune in and Vancouver lights up with watch parties, fan zones and community celebrations.

Wherever you’re soaking up the atmosphere, your BCAA Membership can help you enjoy the festivities while saving along the way.

Watch with the crowd and keep it affordable

You don’t need tickets to the games to feel part of the action. Vancouver and the Lower Mainland are hosting several free public watch zones where fans can gather, cheer and enjoy the lively summer atmosphere.

At Hastings Park, the main Fan Festival runs from June 11 to July 19 with free entry, live match screenings, concerts, food and interactive experiences. In between matches, the site comes alive with live music, DJs, cultural performances and surprise moments across multiple stages, creating an all‑day festival feel for fans of all ages. It’s an easy all‑day outing, especially since Playland is right next door. BCAA Members can save 30% on Playland passes when purchased online, making it easy to add a few rides to your football plans.

There are also great free options across the region:

  1. Granville Island Watch Party - This outdoor setup features screenings on a giant screen, food trucks and family‑friendly programming in one of Vancouver’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
  2. Canada Soccer House at the Shipyards - A viewing hub with fan experiences on the North Shore and easy to pair with a waterfront stroll or patio stop.
  3. Granville Street Pedestrian Zone - Granville Street is getting a summer glow‑up, turning into a free pedestrian‑only zone filled with patios, live entertainment, and space to wander through one of the city’s most energetic corridors.
  4. Soccer in the Square at UBC - Norman Mackenzie Square hosts live broadcasts of nearly every match, along with family movie screenings between games.
  5. Surrey Soccer Fan Zones - Surrey is hosting three fan zones at Surrey Civic Plaza, Cloverdale Agriplex and South Surrey Athletic Park. Expect live entertainment, interactive games, food trucks, giveaways and a beer garden at each location.

Each location brings its own vibe, from waterfront views to super fan energy, and all are easy to access with transit and Evo, with Evolve helping you get around the North Shore.

Getting around during peak event season

With major events happening across the city, traffic is going to be busy. If you’re heading downtown, to the PNE or the North Shore, consider leaving the car at home. Be sure to check ahead for any road closures!

Grab and Evo instead to get from A to B and skip high parking costs or circling the block to find a spot. Planning a football-focused day out? Evo has added more free parking spots on match days so you can spend less time searching and more time getting in on the action.

Skip the traffic and take Evolve E-Bike to your next watch party on the North Shore. With summer rates, a 10-minute trip is just $3, making it about the same price as transit, or even less, with the freedom to roll right to the action.

Plus, BCAA Members always save 10% on every Evo and Evolve trip.
