BCAA FireSmart BC Initiative
Since 2023, the BCAA FireSmart BC Initiative has expanded access to FireSmart education, tools, and support for remote, rural and high‑risk communities.
As community needs evolve, we remain committed to helping British Columbians stay informed, empowered, and resilient.
This spring, we're proud to be building on the work of this initiative in support of the new Local FireSmart Collective Program, helping even more neighbourhoods and communities take greater strides toward meaningful wildfire mitigation action.
Stay FireSmart and save
FireSmart BC's Wildfire Mitigation Program (formerly Home Partners Program) is a research based and proven solution to significantly lower property wildfire risk. A wildfire mitigation expert will provide a FREE home assessment detailing property-specific actions to protect your home from wildfire – and you can be eligible for discounts on BCAA Home Insurance*.
See how an assessment saved a property from 2023's devastating wildfire in Kelowna, BC.
