BCAA selected as prestigious 2019 Platinum Best Employer

Burnaby, B.C., November 9, 2018 – BCAA has been announced as a 2019 Best Employer in Canada and is one of just three large employers in British Columbia to earn a prestigious Platinum distinction.

Today’s Aon announcement confirms BCAA as a 2019 Canadian Best Employer, Platinum; the highest status for creating and sustaining a highly engaged workforce. This is the ninth time in 12 years that BCAA has achieved Best Employer status and the first time BCAA has achieved the Platinum designation.

The award is based on a comprehensive study with BCAA’s 1,300 employees across BC, measuring their level of engagement with the organization; and comparing scores against nearly 700 organizations across Canada. BCAA achieved Platinum status for being rated in the top quartile for engagement, employer brand and leadership, and in the top third for performance culture.

“It’s hard to describe how thrilled we are to be a Best Employer, but to achieve Platinum status is the ultimate,” says BCAA CEO Shom Sen. “Each and every one of us at BCAA come to work with passion and purpose and we deeply believe in creating a culture that allows us to give our Members the best service imaginable. We’ll celebrate, and continue to find new ways to make BCAA the best job ever for every employee.”

This year, BCAA also won the YWCA Metro Vancouver Outstanding Workplace Award and its CEO Shom Sen was recognized as one of the Top CEOs in Canada by Glass Door. BCAA offers a wide range of careers across BC, reaching far beyond its original auto club roots. An active part of BC’s innovation scene, BCAA created Evo Car Share in Vancouver, and works to be a future-forward leader in mobility and protection services for all British Columbians. BCAA offers career opportunities as diverse as marketing, finance, insurance, service positions at call centres and service locations, and technical automotive roles at all skill levels.
