Have you submitted your BCAA Play Here nomination?

If a play space in your community needs a little love, we want to hear from you!

Nominations for BCAA Play Here will close on April 15!

It could be a park, a playground, a community garden, a library or even a music room – if it’s a place where kids go to have fun, learn and develop valuable life skills, we want to hear about it!

All you have to do is go to bcaaplayhere.com to make a nomination. You can be one of three communities who receive a play space revitalization worth up to $100,000.

Here are a few tips to make your nomination stand out:

  • Be descriptive: Clearly highlight what the need is and the impact a revitalized play space would have on your community.
  • Be visual and creative: Photos and a short video are impactful and great ways to tell your story.

Nominations will be shortlisted to ten finalists by a panel of judges and then British Columbians will get to decide on the three winners through an online vote from May 28 – June 17. The winning communities will be announced on June 21.

BCAA recognizes that play spaces aren’t just for kids, they’re for entire communities to enjoy and a place to bring people together,” says Shawn Pettipas, BCAA’s director of Community Engagement. “Through BCAA Play Here, our focus is to keep kids safe in our communities but also provide play space revitalizations that will have the most positive impact for everyone in the community.”
