Our basic protection plans start as low as $20/month.
In BC, if you obtain a mortgage to purchase a property, your lender may require proof of an adequate home insurance policy on that property. As a renter, insurance is not compulsory but a landlord can make it a requirement of your lease, as their home insurance policy will not protect you or your belongings.
No, we offer online bank transfer, in addition to credit card withdrawals as a payment method, or you can pay by credit or debit in-person at your local Service Location.
- Details about the building you live in (e.g. year, heating source and safety/security alarms), plus, construction and maintenance details if you're a homeowner.
- Your home insurance claims history, including from policies you've held outside of Canada - if you have any. Your previous provider(s) should be able to provide you with a summary.
- Your Membership number if you're a BCAA Member - Members save up to 20%.
- Your most recent permanent address in Canada, if you've lived here before.
